Create an Amazon Web Services account in 60 seconds(-ish)
If you’ve got any worries about signing up for Amazon Web Services then it’s time to set them aside and go for it.
Step 1: Click the button
Head over to aws.amazon.com and click the Create an AWS Account button.
Step 2: Credentials
First up, you’ll sort out your login credentials.
Enter your email address and desired password, and make up a name for your account.
Step 3: Contact details
Next, enter your contact details so AWS can dispatch ninjas when you miss a bill payment.
Step 4: Payment details
I know, I know. This is the scary bit. Go for it.
Step 5: Confirm your identity
To confirm you’re a real human being, you’ll need to let AWS call or text you a code to repeat back.
Step 6: Choose a support plan
Finally, choose how much you want to pay for technical support.
It’s okay; we both know you’re going to smash that Free button.
Step 7: You’re done!
And that’s it! Log in with the email address and password you entered earlier, and the account is all yours.
